The Appendix is NOT a vital organ. It preduces and protects good germs for the stomach. It also reboots the digestive system. Many people get the appendix removed because it becomes inflamed and if it pops you have around a 90% chance of dying! We used to have very large appendixes but they became small and less useful so it does next to nothing to get them removed.
